Gîte design la station Gîte for 10 people
A partir de 800 €
This former petrol station, designed by Jean Prouvé for Total in 1969, has been given a new lease of life as a top-of-the-range gîte in the lush Perigord countryside. This sculptural resort, the only one of its kind in France, will astonish you with its modernity, brightness and warmth. Comprising 2 levels, the ground floor offers an open-plan living space with bay windows offering uninterrupted views over the countryside, with no overlooked areas. A large lounge, dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, utility room, bathroom and separate wc make up this space where light floods in from all sides. A spiral staircase, arranged at the entrance to the house like a sculpture, leads to the first floor, which is dedicated to sleeping. 3 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 4 single beds for children, a shower room and toilet make up this floor, where all the windows offer a view of nature, without any noise pollution. Outside, a large 120 m2 wooden terrace features a heated, secure swimming pool and a Nordic spa with water at 38°. A shaded patio for outdoor meals, a trampoline and, above all, an unobstructed view of the green surroundings will ensure that your stay is a peaceful one.

Gîte design Jean Prouvé
The great designers of the 60s and 70s have left their mark on history, and Jean Prouvé was one of those pioneers who brought a vision, imposed his style and proposed a new configuration of space. When this former service station was converted into a gîte, special care was taken not to alter the original building. It has been the subject of remarkable creative work, the results of which you can admire in the photos. Here, light reigns supreme, that beautiful Périgord light that is so special, seeping in through the large bay windows. Other design features include the helix-shaped staircase and the magnificent swimming pool, adorned with an elegant wooden terrace. Imagine immersing yourself in the clear water for a few moments in the heat of the afternoon...
Here, you can enjoy a particularly relaxing stay in the Dordogne, while discovering the local tourist attractions: the Lascaux cave, medieval castles, fishing, hiking, golf, horse-drawn carriage rides or hot-air ballooning... There's no shortage of things to marvel at! For a successful holiday in the Périgord, call on Moulin de La Jarousse...
